ORTEGA & STAVOSTRAND

Luca Ortega and Mikael Stavöstrand has been collaborating from time to time the

since spring 2004, meeting up at two different locations on the globe.. Mexico

City and Berlin. neither of them are from Berlin tough, but from Mexico City and

Stockholm, maybe it's the combination of the funky warmth of Latin America and

cool strictness of Scandinavia who got these guys going.. anyway. together

they create small rhythmic masterpieces directed for the funky floors, but with

an edgy touch..

LUCA ORTEGA

Originally from Mexico City..Luca has been part of the mexican underground

scene since early 90's when electronics where deep below the surface in

Mexico.. working under different alias in different projects/experiments from

experimental sound to techno..in 2001 he launch Lineas de Nazca together

with Dj Jerga, releasing two e.p. on german label Eintakt among with

compilations on Imeca, Mitek, Luciano's Sci fi Hi Fi mix compilation on Soma rec.

and recently Craig Richards mix compilation on Orson rec.

Today Luca keeps working with Lineas de Nazca and now he join madness

with Mikael Stavostrand for Dosage of the Ortega/Stavostrand Satellite.

MIKAEL STAVOSTRAND

has been featured as a key figure of the Swedish electronic music scene for

his unique interpretations of minimal club techno as well as for producing some

of the most essential experimental electronic music of the past years.

Stavöstrand mixes deconstructed sounds with funky little beats to create

minimal dance textures. With releases out and upcoming on Force Inc., Karat,

Mineral, Sunset Diskos, Adjunct and more.
