Trax FR (May '08):
Connu principalement sous son pseudo Dapayk ou au côté de sa compagne Eva Padberg, Niklas Worgt, alias Marek Bois est un artiste surproductif. Quelques mois après la sortie de “Black Beauty” aux côtés de Eva, il revient avec son nouvel Opus sur Rrygular son label (tout comme Mo’s Ferry ou Fenou). Avec “Boissche Untiefen” Marek bois est allé puiser dans les sphères technoides des années 90 tout un tas de son et d’idées. Il en résulte un double album avec un premier cd de 10 titres inédits oscillants beats ternaires manipulés avec soin et atmosphères technoides qui roule et qui galope et vous embarque sur son passage. On en retiendra « Roldgold », « lander » ou « whopair ». A noter également un deuxième cd version « live » avec des anciens et nouveau titres qui nous affirme sans conteste le savoir faire de cet homme.

Groove (May/June '08):
Marek Bois alias Niklas Worgt ist die eine Hälfte von Dapayk & Padberg. Mit Boissche Untiefen legt er sein Solodebüt vor, das bei Rrygular erscheint, dem Minimal-Sublabel von Mo's Ferry Productions. Minimalistisch ist seine Musik allemal. Hier dreht sich alles um reduzierte Klänge, allmählich aufgebaute Spannung und die effiziente Nutzung der begrenzten Tonspuren. Als Marek Bois setzt Worgt auf pochende, hölzerne Rhythmen und leicht hysterische, elektronische Effekte, die er aufs Äußerste abgespeckt hat. Seine gelegentlich ins Alberne spielenden Konstruktionen verfehlen dabei nie ihre Wirkung. Die Tracks erinnern in ihrer Überdrehtheit hier und da an den Rhythmusspuren-Dschungel auf Gabriel Anandas Album Bambusbeats, auch wenn Marek Bois nicht ganz die Dichte von Anandas Trommelgeflechten erreicht. Die Boisschen Untiefen bieten dafür reichlich witzige Ideen, die auf dem Tanzboden bestens funktionieren. Die Bonus-CD mit Live-Material setzt nur geringfügig andere Akzente, zeigt aber, dass Bois' Musik sich als DJ-Set genauso bewährt wie im Studio.

DMC Update - Sound Judgement (#269):
Marek Bois is Niklas Worgt, aka Dapayk, who released last years acclaimed Black Beauty album with Padberg. This is the minimal sound taken to austere extremes of sparse and dark pulserama, littered with clangs, electronic flatulence and bleeps. Tracks like 'memento moments' are wilfully discordant while 'tlaa' takes repition to extreme. 'Kimpton' might seem like a grumpy stutter on the surface but will work a treat threaded through rattling belters like 'architecture' - and this is possible because the album also, highly commendably, comes as double vinyl or two twelves. And 'Snareway to hell' is track title of the year. (Kris Needs)

Du kennst diesen besonderen Berghain-Moment, wenn die Sonne durch das verdreckte Glas scheint und du realisierst, dass du seit gefühlten Wochen weder eine Tasse Tee noch eine Dusche aus der Nähe gesehen hast. Eben war Ego noch mit Dapayk & Padberg auf dem Albumtrip, jetzt legt Alter aka Marek Bois nach. „Vollendeten Techno“ verspricht die Presseinfo und man merkt sofort, nicht nur musikalisch, sondern auch informationsstrategisch wurde dem Minimalismus abgeschworen. Dicke Bässe machen auf dicke Hose, breitbeinig wird durch den Club, wahlweise Tresor, gestampft. Ein Tondokument dieses grobmotorischen Bewegungsexzesses vom 16.11.07 findet sich bei der CD-Ausgabe auf der Bonus-CD. Der Silberling hält gegenüber der
Vinylversion zudem zwei Bonustitel bereit und kommt somit auf stattliche zehn Tracks. Allesamt sind dem puren, wahlweise natürlich auch vollendeten
Techno verpflichtet, wie er an der Achse Detroit - Bad F./Wolke - Berlin gedeiht. Heimweh? Sicherlich nicht! Aber irgendwie schon...

Raveline (ALBUM OF THE MONTH - April '08):
Heidewitzka! Marek 'The Bad Boy' Bois rückt endlich mit seinem ersten Langspieler heraus. Und - um verspätet (und ziemlich abgedroschen) auf Ostern anzuspielen: Der Typ hat extremst dicke Eier! Acht Tracks voll bois’scher Power, warten auf dem Doppelvinyl darauf gebührend gefeiert zu werden. Schon der Opener "Memento Moments" stellt mit seiner groben Kickdrum und dem verwirrten Vocal klar, das die "Boisschen Untiefen" nichts für müde Couchkartoffeln sind. Und ich höre die Meute schon kreischen, wenn diese schrill fiedelnde Melodie, deren Inspirationsquelle irgendwo zwischen Pacman und Asteroids angesiedelt sein dürfte, zum ersten Mal die Gehörgänge durchsticht. Mehr Einwirkzeit benötigt "Dapss", das dumpf rollend ausgebreitet wird, während sich ein dreckig fauchender Sound nach Mühlsteinmanier durch nass hallende Congas und schwellende HiHat-Intermezzos schleift. Wild verfrickelt geht es auf "Snareway To Hell" zu, in welchem bezeichnender Weise Snares auf aggressiv raschelnde Art das Hauptohrenmerk auf sich ziehen und zusammen mit einem zitternden Synthsound und ausgereizten Breaks einen fiebrigen Tune ergeben, der sich als nachhaltig schweißfördernd erweisen dürfte. Eher standartmäßig-funktionell zeigt sich "Roth" mit seinen hölzernen Percussions und den typisch pushenden Bois-Beatz. "Now!" erinnert durch seine zappelige Bassline wiederum an irgendwelche alten Amigagames, macht aber mit seinem schnittigen Frickelrhytmus und den zerkleinerten Vocals sicherlich eine viel bessere Figur auf den technominimalistischen Tanzböden. Ein wenig klingt das sogar nach Acid, was aber noch umso mehr für "Roldgold" gilt, welches zeitlose Bleep-und-Fiep-Sequenzen durch einen hackenden Groove manövriert, der zusätzlich von bedrohlichen Fanfaren befeuert wird. "Lander" hoppelt flott auf mystischen Keys herum, was sich beim heimischen Anhören nach und nach zu einer nervlichen Herausforderung entwickelt, im Club aber sichere Berechtigung findet. Lockerer geht es "Tlaa" an, das, auf ausreichend Bassdruck nicht verzichtend, auf eine sehr grobmetallisch wirkende Klavierton-Hook setzt, die durch schlingernde Pads charmant abgerundet wird. Die CD-Version hat mit "Whopair" und "Kimpton" zwei weitere Tracks im Gepäck und bietet darüber hinaus eine Bonus-CD, die den Live-Mitschnitt eines Gigs enthält. Bois regiert! Und Dapayk ist dagegen ein alter Spießer.

Niklas Worgt AKA Dapayk has been recording under the moniker Marek Bois since 2006 and here he is delivering a truly superb album under that very guise. As seems to be the fashion these days there is 2 CD's where CD 1 is the album part, which starts superbly and just gets better and better. The CD does take a dip though, with 'Now' but you are safe
in the knowledge that this is sandwiched between insane, twisted tracks like 'Snareway To Hell' and 'Lander'. The 2nd CD is a live set recording by Marek Bois where previous releases are mixed with the new album material. (Derek Taylor)

Verflixt. Schon wieder ein Album. Da scheint ein Extra-Kraftwerk für die Posse in Kreuzberg aufgestellt worden zu sein. Acht Killertracks puren Funks auf dem Vinyl (CD hat zwei mehr), die definitiv den größten Schritt Richtung Chicago darstellen, den das Label bislang gesehen hat. Dabei werden natürlich die eigenwilligen Soundwelten nicht vernachlässigt, und die Grooves, so holzig und klar sie sind, haben dennoch etwas von Magie, die Einfachheit der Konstruktionen täuscht nicht darüber hinweg, dass die Tracks ihre eigene Komplexität haben, und wer davon auf dem Dancefloor nicht mitgerissen und entführt wird, der braucht dringend Ohren, mit denen man auch wirklich hören kann. Perfektes Album. Vielleicht das Minimal-Album des Frühjahrs überhaupt. >

Boissche Untiefen gives the listener ten shots of edgy, slick and darkly playful modern techno. All slamming and grainy dark funked locked beat patterns changed with dark pushing ‘n’ bassy synth lines, clustered with noisy to ambient textures and flamboyant/sleazy melody lines.
This is music that mangers to heady, creative and awash with bizarre and clever edges, yet at the same time very dance floor friendly - Bois gets the balancing act just right so you can either revel and uncover new sound angles and textures within the tracks or go and shake your stuff on packed jagged light lit dance floors. Each track through keeping the same air and character that runs through the all of Boissche Untiefen mangers to have their own vibe, personality and tricks/sonic touches up their creative sleeves so it doesn’t become just another collection of beat bound synth fodder. Highlights includes the opening track, Dapss throbbing bass line, organic like drums hits mixed in with electronic beats, weird spoken dialogue and sleazy alien funked organ soloing. Now! with it’s bashing in a post electro rhythm opening, which spider webs out into a collection of shifting 3D like bassy synth and percussive matter that has a distinctive African  rhythmic feel to it while still maintain it’s sleek techno backbone.
The album comes with a second disk featuring live recordings of tracks from the album as well as older material, which is pleasant enough but comes off a lot less consistent and focused and the tracks in a live format don’t really come off as sonically impressive.
An edgy and sleek beat-bound slice of creative electronica that’s foot moving and body popping, yet still very textured, multi layered and considered through out making it rewarding on repeat and more concentrated plays. (link)

Less than a year after releasing the brilliant album ‘Black Beauty’ together with his wife Eva Padberg, Niklas Worgt – who is best know as Dapayk – is back with a new LP under his most dancefloor friendly guise, Marek Bois. ‘Boissche Untiefen’ is a two disc package made up of an unmixed 10 track album, and a small bonus in the form of a recorded 60 minute live set from the artist.
Making an album made up almost entirely of cuts fit for dancefloors and at the same time making it an interesting listen at home after more than two or three spins is far from being an easy feat. To be frank, I usually avoid such albums completely, or never make it through more than the halfway mark because pure party energy very rarely makes for enjoyable listening at home. However, unlike most other artists Worgt, by managing to conjure up a very slick and intelligent fusion of accessible and club friendly techno with sounds and concepts that are far less run of the mill and a little more experimental, has produced a long player which will not only more than likely do damage in many a club, but also fall in favor with all the regular Joes at home.

Boissche Untiefen (Rrygular), Niklas Worgt’s new LP under his Marek Bois alias. Worgt is marginally better known for his genre-hopping work as Dapayk (though don’t beat yourself up too much if that name doesn’t ring a bell either), but here continues down the more minimal path for which the Bois moniker was created a couple of years back. Late high-point Lander pitomises what’s on offer here: hugely percussive, unmistakably European and bravely futuristic techno with a thudding human heart.

Partysan Berlin (April '08):
Mit "Boissche Untiefen" präsentiert Niklas Worgt seine technoidere Seite und lässt schon mit den ersten beiden Tracks keine Zweifel an der Clubtauglichkeit des Albums. Der Track "Memento Moments" entwickelt durch seinen Bass und die damit verbundenen Percussions von Anfang an eine Dynamik, die sich fast durch das ganze Werk zieht. Wie auch bei anderen Arbeiten des Künstlers lässt sich eine enorme Detailverliebtheit erkennen, die sich in kleinsten Rhythmus-, Melodie- und Effektvariationen widerspiegelt. Das Album überzeugt durch seinen dicken Sound und lässt den Hörer tief in die wummernde Welt des Herrn Bois einblicken.

Subculture RNS (April '08):
Als ich diese Doppelvinyl in den Händen hielt, verlas ich mich im Künstlernamen und dachte sofort an Bios. Beim hören der druckvollen und Energiegeladenen Vinyl fand ich ein musikalisches Zusammenspiel zwischen einem Bios System und elektronischer Musik könnte hier gegeben sein. Niklas Worgt, auch bekannt als Dapayk, hat hier wahrlich eine Doppel-Perle abgeliefert. Voller Parts mit bassbetonter Percussions, auflösende Synthesizermelodien, dissonanten Klängen, unterschwellig eindringliche Keyloops mutiert dieses Release zu einer wahren Energiebombe mit insgesamt elf Tracks. Marek Bois knüpft hier ohne Verlust an den Erfolg des Albums „Black Beauty“ an und beschert uns ein wunderbares Hörvergnügen. Wird mit Sicherheit in vielen Clubs gespielt. Ein Muss.

Subculture NAB (April '08):
Na was sagt man dazu.. das erste Album von Marek Bois, auch bekannt als Niklas Worgt. Hier findet man vollendeten Techno oder eben die unzähmbaren „Boisschen Untiefen“. Dieses erscheint (mit verschiedenen Tracklistings) als Doppel-CD, Doppel-Vinyl und separate 12Inches. Mit diesem Album geht Niklas an seine technoiden Wurzeln der Mittneunziger zurück, indem er wieder verstärkt auf analoges Equipment gesetzt hat. Dies hört man schon ab dem ersten Track. Umhergestoßene Melodien, klatschende Beats und eine hervorragende Auswahl saftiger Sounds beleben dieses Album. Durch seinen Einfallsreichtum und seine Produktivität wird dieses Album zu einem ganz besonderen Werk des zeitgemäßen Techno, das vor frischen Ideen nur so überkocht..

That's some good wood! Snareway to Hell is the best just because it's nice and noisy but really fun. It remind me of Capricorn 20 Hz with those snares a bit. Memento Moments has kind of Akufen feel and vocals are cool. Lander is also really great with all the old vibe types of synths clanging around. One of my recent faves.
